Heater Case/Cover Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the right instrument panel insulator.
2. Remove the left instrument panel insulator.
3. Remove the IP compartment.
4. Remove the center floor air outlet.
5. Remove the screws retaining the heater outlet duct.
6. Remove the heater outlet duct.
7. Disconnect the IP harness to heater core cover tie strap.




8. Remove the screws retaining the heater core cover.
9. Remove the heater core cover.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the heater core cover.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the heater core cover retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).




3. Connect the IP harness to heater core cover tie strap.
4. Install the heater outlet duct.
5. Install the heater outlet duct screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 0.9 N.m (8 lb in).

6. Install the center floor air outlet.
7. Install the IP compartment.
8. Install the left instrument panel insulator.
9. Install the right instrument panel insulator.
