Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the steering gear heat shield.
  2. Install the steering gear heat shield bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the steering gear heat shield bolts to 14 N.m (124 Ib. in).

  3. If the vehicle is equipped with all wheel drive, install the right side engine splash shield. Refer to SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT -- ENGINE .
  4. Lower the vehicle.
