July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Test A: All Power Windows Inoperative

NOTE: Master window switch on 2-door models has only one harness connector. Master window switch on 4-door models has 2 harness connectors.
  1. Operate power window system. If power windows do not operate normally, go to next step. If power windows do not operate normally, problem may be intermittent. See INTERMITTENTS  .
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect driver window switch 7-pin harness connector C1. Using a test light connected to ground probe driver window switch harness connector C1 terminal "G" (Brown wire). See Fig 1 . If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step  4 .
  3. Connect test light between driver window switch harness connector C1 terminals "G" (Brown wire) and "B" (Black wire). If test light illuminates, go to step  5 . If test light does not illuminate, go to step  8 .
  4. Check for open or poor connection in Brown wire between driver window switch harness connector C1 terminal "G" and passenger side instrument panel junction block harness connector C3 terminal A8. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . If problem is found, repair and go to step  9 . If no problem is found, go to step  6 .
  5. Check for poor connections and loose or corroded terminals in driver window switch harness connectors. If problem is found, repair and go to step  9 . If no problem is found, go to step  7 .
  6. Repair short to ground in Brown wire between driver window switch harness connector C1 terminal "G" and passenger side instrument panel junction block harness connector C3 terminal A8. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . After repairs are made, go to step  9 .
  7. Replace driver window switch. See WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs are made, go to step  9 .
  8. Repair open or poor connection in Black wire between G301 and driver window switch harness connector C1 terminal "B". Ground point is located under passenger seat on rocker panel. See Figure and Fig 1 . After repairs are made, go to next step.
  9. Check system for proper operation. If system operates properly, test is complete. If system does not operate properly, go to step  1 .
