Visual/Physical Inspection
- Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect operation of horn system.
- Inspect easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause symptom.
- Perform following if a horn buzzes or has a harsh tone:
- Inspect for debris in joint where horn fastens to vehicle.
- Test torque of horn mounting hardware. Horn mounting hardware should be tightened to 7 ft lbs. (10 N.m).
