DTC P1294: Target Idle Not Reached: Description

Engine speed is monitored with engine idling, transmission in Drive, and no Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) or Throttle Position (TP) sensor DTCs present. DTC will set when PCM senses engine idle speed is at least 200 RPM more or 100 RPM less than target idle speed for 14 seconds. This is a one-trip fault. Possible causes are: defective Idle Air Control (IAC) motor, IAC driver circuit open, vacuum leaks, air intake system leaks or restrictions, or defective throttle body or linkage improperly positioned.
