Trip & Reset Button Concern

NOTE: For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see BODY CONTROL COMPUTER - INTRODUCTION article. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.

Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, read button state. Press trip and reset buttons while observing scan tool. If scan tool display does not change from PRESSED to RELEASED, replace VF display board. If scan tool display changes from PRESSED to RELEASED, system is currently functioning correctly.
