July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Removal & Installation

  1. Remove related fuses. If necessary, disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove steering wheel and horn pad. Refer to STEERING WHEEL & HORN PAD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove retaining screws located behind square plastic pads on lower instrument panel knee protector. See Figure.
  2. Remove hood release handle. Remove lower instrument panel knee protector. See Figure. Remove upper and lower steering column covers. Remove lap air duct and shower duct located directly behind lower instrument panel knee protector.
  3. Disconnect both combination switch harness connectors. Remove harness/cable band strap from column. Remove combination switch mounting screws. Remove combination switch from shaft. See Figure. To install, reverse removal procedure.
