Throttle Position Sensor

THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR VOLTAGE TEST (1)

Throttle Opening (2) Volts
2.5L & 3.3L
Idle 0.5
WOT 4.0
3.0L (3)
Idle 0.5
WOT 3.5
3.9L, 5.2L & 5.9L
Idle Greater Than 0.2
WOT Less Than 4.8
(1) Voltage should increase steadily as throttle opening is increased from idle position.
(2) Measure voltage at throttle position sensor center terminal.
(3) Voltage specifications may vary but WOT specification should be approximately 3.0 volts higher than idle specification.
