6 Ignition Control System For Fault Codes

1. Connect diagnostic read out tool to engine test connector.
2. Disconnect and connector battery electrical connector.
3. Crank engine for approximately 5 seconds, then place ignition switch in Off position.
4. Place system into diagnostic test mode.
5. Note all fault codes indicated by diagnostic read-out tool.
6. If diagnostic read-out tool indicates no fault codes 88-12-55, proceed to Test 7.
7. If diagnostic read-out tool indicated fault codes 88, 12, 43 (spark control circuit), 55, proceed to Test 8.
