Supplemental Inflatable Restraint System Sensing & Diagnostic Module: Removal
- Disable Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
- Remove passenger's front seat. Remove kick panel/sill plate. Lift carpet and insulation. Remove CPA clip and disconnect SIR Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) harness connector. Remove SDM mounting bolts. Remove SDM from vehicle. See Figure .
