Locks Do Not Operate From Either Front Door Lock Switch

  1. Disconnect door lock relay connector at left side of instrument panel. Connect a test light between chassis ground and Orange wire terminal of door lock relay connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If test light does not illuminate, repair open Orange wire. If test light illuminates, connect test light between Orange wire and Black wire terminals of relay connector.
  2. If test light does not illuminate, repair open Black wire. If test light illuminates, connect test light between chassis ground and Light Blue wire terminal of relay connector. Hold either switch in lock position. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, repair open Orange wire between fuse block and switch, or open Light Blue wire between switch and relay.
  3. Connect test light between chassis ground and White wire terminal of relay connector. Hold either switch in UNLOCK position. If test light does not illuminate, repair open White wire. If test light illuminates, reconnect relay connector.
  4. Connect test light between Gray wire and Tan wire terminals of relay connector. Hold either switch in LOCK position. If test light does not illuminate, replace relay.
  5. If test light illuminates, leave relay connector attached and leave test light connected between Gray wire and Tan wire terminals. Hold either switch in UNLOCK position. If test light does not illuminate, replace relay. If test light illuminates, check for open Gray wire or Tan wire. Repair as necessary.
