Manifold Air Temperature (Mat) Sensor

MAT sensor may also be referred to as an Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor. See INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR. A malfunction in the MAT sensor will set a related diagnostic trouble code. For testing procedures, see TESTS W/CODES - 2.2L article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
