Hydraulic Unit: Installation
- Position hydraulic unit in car. Install new hydraulic unit mounting bolts at pushrod bracket Tighten to 37 Ft. Lbs. (50 Nm.)
- From inside of car, thread rear half of pushrod onto front half and tighten. attach brake pedal. Check position of pushrod, see pushrod inspection below. Reposition dust boot. Install hydraulic lines at valve block and tighten to 106 In. Lbs. (12 Nm.)
- Position pump/motor assembly on hydraulic unit. Install mounting bolt and tighten to 10 Ft. Lbs. (13 Nm.) Install cross-car brace. Reconnect electrical connections at hydraulic unit.
- Reconnect negative battery cable. Bleed brake system as described in this article.
