Work Procedure
Performing the following procedure can automatically activate recommunication of inverter (rear) and Intelligent Key unit, but only when the inverter (rear) is replaced with a new one *.
*: New one means a virgin inverter (rear) that has never been energized on-board (In this step, initialization procedure using CONSULT is not necessary).
CAUTION:
When replacing the inverter (rear), always replace it with a new one. The functions controlled by the inverter (rear) does not operate properly in case of reuse of the inverter (rear) from another vehicle.
NOTE:
- If multiple keys are attached to the key holder, separate them before beginning work.
- Distinguish keys with unregistered key IDs from those with registered IDs.
- PERFORM INVERTER (REAR) RECOMMUNICATING FUNCTION
- Install inverter (rear).
- Contact backside of the registered Intelligent Key * to power switch while brake pedal is depressed, then turn power switch ON.
*: To perform this step, use the key that is used before performing inverter (rear) replacement.
- Maintain power switch in the ON position for at least 5 seconds.
- Power switch OFF.
- Check that the vehicle can be set to READY.
