Component	Function
Seat belt buckle switch (driver side)	Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Switch .
Seat belt buckle switch (passenger side)	Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Switch .
Occupant classification system sensor	Occupant classification system sensor detects if the passenger seat is empty or occupied.
Occupant classification system control unit	Occupant classification system control unit receives occupant detection signal from occupant classification system sensor, and transmits the occupant detection signal to air bag diagnosis sensor unit.
Air bag diagnosis sensor unit	Air bag diagnosis sensor unit transmits the seat belt buckle switch signal to combination meter via CAN communication.
Combination meter	Seat belt warning lamp turn ON and seat belt warning (information display) displays when any occupied seat and seat belt is unfastened. Seat belt warning (buzzer) sounds when the vehicle speed is more than approximately 15 km/h (9.3 MPH) and any occupied seat and seat belt is unfastened.
ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)	ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) transmits the vehicle speed signal to combination meter via CAN communication.
BCM	BCM transmits the buzzer output signal to combination meter via CAN communication.
Meter speaker	Operates when signal is received from combination meter.

SEAT BELT WARNING LAMP OPERATION

Seat belt warning lamp on combination meter turns ON during a period when ignition switch is turns ON until seat belts are fastened. Seat belt warning lamp turns OFF when seat belt is fastened. Seat belt warning lamp turns ON again when seat belt is unfastened. Refer Seat Belt Warning Lamp .

SEAT BELT WARNING (BUZZER) OPERATION

Seat belt warning (buzzer) sounds turned ignition switch ON or vehicle speed is approximately 15 km/h (9.3 MPH) or more while seat belts are not fastened. Seat belt warning (buzzer) stops when seat belt is fastened. Refer Seat Belt Warning .
