Detonation (Knock) Retard

Faults in detonation retard circuit may set Code 34. To test system, see CODE 34 diagnostic procedures in appropriate TESTS W/CODES article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section below. To test knock (detonation) sensor, see ENGINE SENSORS & SWITCHES.
