SERVICE INFORMATION
A/C Compressor Survey - 2008 Outlander. Beginning with the 2008 model year, MMC is using 2 different A/C compressor vendors for the Outlander. In order to determine the quality levels of the vendors, they request that dealers submit a questionnaire every time a repair is made involving the a/c compressor. You will find a copy of the questionnaire later in this issue of Tech Talk.
HVAC Vent Control Complaints - 2006-08 Endeavor w/Manual A/C. ATIN 08-55-001 - 2006-08 Endeavor HVAC Controls, was recently sent to all Mitsubishi Motors Service Managers via email. It reads as follows:
AFFECTED VEHICLES
2006 - 08 Endeavor built between May, 2006 and January 2008.
- The direction of air flow or the HVAC temperature from the vents may randomly change for a short period after making adjustments to either the mode or temperature control. Until a countermeasure is released, please instruct customers with this complaint to keep Instrument Panel lighting set at 100%.
- The direction of air flow may be stuck in one position. Please open a TechLine case via the MDL and then call TechLine to continue diagnosis.
A TSB will be issued shortly announcing a countermeasure and repairs for these conditions.
