Component Testing: CLOCKSPRING

  1. Visually inspect clockspring case, connectors and protective tubes for damage. See Fig 1 . If no damage is found, go to next step. If damage is found, discard clockspring.
  2. Measure resistance between terminals of clockspring connector C-209, using Test Probes (MB991222). See Fig 2 . Resistance should be infinite. If resistance is not infinite, discard clockspring.
