AHM_70 - Description Of Short Circuit Behaviour

Dealing with short circuits in the trailer module AHM_70

Monitoring in general:
A short circuit, a break in wiring or the proper function of a circuit can be detected at any output of the trailer module.

Detecting a short circuit, checking it and making a fault memory entry take approx. 5 seconds if the output is switched on.

It also takes approx. 5 seconds to detect a short circuit as no longer present if the output is switched on.

Description for dealing with short circuits in the trailer module:
If a short circuit is detected, the output is switched off.

Following repair, a terminal change must take place and the light must be switched on again so that the corresponding output is reactivated.

If this operation has taken place 50 times, the fault entry "permanent short circuit fault" can no longer be deleted. The trailer module must be replaced.
