Retrieving & Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Connect Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS) tester or New Generation Star (NGS) tester to DLC. DLC is located under instrument panel between steering column and radio. See Figure. Follow scan tool manufacturer's instructions to retrieve and clear codes for desired module. See appropriate DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE INDEX table under DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS  for listing of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) and appropriate test procedures.
