Upper Intake Manifold: Installation

Tighten upper intake manifold bolts evenly in 2 passes in sequence. See Fig 1. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.

Tighten upper intake manifold bolts evenly in 2 passes in sequence to specification. See Fig 1. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.

Clean gasket mating surfaces, using caution not to gouge plastic or aluminum parts. Install NEW gasket. Use guide pins and install upper intake manifold. Tighten bolts in sequence to specification. See Figure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.

Ensure gasket surfaces are clean before using a NEW upper intake manifold gasket. Position upper intake manifold onto lower intake manifold. Evenly tighten bolts to specification. See Fig 1. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.

1. Replace upper intake manifold gaskets (if necessary). Reconnect all hoses and electrical connectors.
2. Install upper intake manifold bolts and tighten in sequence to specification. See Fig 1. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
