Trouble Shooting
Before proceeding with testing, perform a visual check of the following:
- Vacuum leaks at actuator.
- Incorrect actuator cable adjustment.
- Damaged or binding actuator cable.
- Faulty fuses.
- Loose or corroded connections.
- Damaged wiring harness.
- Damaged or misadjusted switches.
- Damaged or corroded relays.
- Damaged or misadjusted brake pedal.
- Damaged or misadjusted Transmission Range (TR) switch.
Verify speedometer, horn and stoplights function properly. Repair as necessary. Inspect actuator cable and throttle cable/linkage for smooth operation. Repair as necessary. If no problems are found, perform road test to verify problem. Perform appropriate system test. See SYMPTOM INDEX table under SYSTEM TESTS.
