Power Steering Pressure Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the PSP switch electrical connector from the PSP switch.
3. Position a suitable drain pan under the PSP switch.
4. Remove the PSP switch fitting from the junction block/high-pressure line.

INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
After any Power Steering system repairs, the system needs to be refilled, and any air bled from the system.
To bleed:
^ Disable Ignition System.
^ Fill the Power steering reservoir.
^ Crank the engine with the starter motor while turning the steering wheel back and forth.
^ Add fluid if needed.
^ Enable Ignition system.
