July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Canister Purge Control Solenoid

  1. Disconnect vacuum hoses from solenoid. Solenoid is located near center of firewall. See Fig 1. Blow through port "A". No air should flow from port "B".
  2. Unplug 2-wire connector from solenoid. Connect 12 volts to one terminal. Ground the other terminal of solenoid. Blow through port "A". Air should flow through port "B". Replace canister purge control solenoid if performance is not as specified.
