Vendor Subdirectory And File Names

In order to prevent problems that could result from duplicate filenames or sub-directories being used by different vendors, TMC recommends that the vendor name or an abbreviation of the vendor name be used or incorporated into the subdirectory name for the highest level subdirectory location into which vendor application files will be installed. The vendor is then free to name any files installed in that subdirectory. It is the responsibility of the vendor to take the appropriate steps to ensure uniqueness of filenames within vendor applications. It is also the vendor's responsibility to maintain consistency of the name.
