This RP in noway endorses, recommends, approves, promotes, or favors the preferential treatment of one vendor (VDA or PC application provider) over another. Likewise, any mention of diagnostic application names or brands is not meant to recommend/favor one over the other. These are just "common" diagnostic applications available in the marketplace, and these names are being used to add clarity. For example, it is much easier to understand the terminology of a diagnostic application by saying "Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link (DDDL)" and "Allison DOC" instead of saying "Diagnostic Application 1" and "Diagnostic Application 2". Note that most, or all, of these software names carry some sort of trademark or copyright by their parent companies.
