Customer Controlled Ecu Passwords

All customer controlled ECU passwords should follow the convention specified for login passwords, as described previously. If application software logins are implemented, it should be possible for the system administrator to change the ECU customer password(s). The ECU customer password(s) will not be known by the individual user, only the system administrator and possibly several others in the company. Access to the various functions allowed by this password would be controlled in the application software according to the level of security provided by the user login.
