	Remove/install
1	Put transmission into neutral position.
2	Switch off ignition.
3	Raise vehicle.		AR00.60-D-1000-04TS
	Special instructions for lifting and supporting vehicle		AH00.60-N-0100-01TS
4	Remove underfloor panels.	Model 907 with code XM1 (Noise abatement measures) : Only reinstall underfloor paneling after the leak test.	AR61.30-D-1001TS
5	Release and disconnect electrical connector (2).
6	Remove screw/bolts (3).	: Replace bolts (3). Screw, all-wheel drive control unit to transfer case	*BA28.19-N-1003-01TSR
7	Remove control unit (1).	Installation:  The guide (1.1) of the control unit (1) must engage in the mount (5) of the transfer case. Damage will otherwise occur. : Replace seals (4).
8	Install in the reverse order.
	Initial startup
9	Commission control unit (1).	If the control unit (1) was replaced.

	Check
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. 10	Perform engine test run, checking transfer case for proper operation and leak tightness while doing so.
