CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.

REMOVING Remove     
1 Lower one side window of a front door.    
2 Check adjustment of sliding door. Model 907.6/7/8
with code T16 (Sliding door right)

Gap dimensions of sliding door

    SPECIAL TOOL Feeler gauge
If the adjustment of the sliding door is not correct,

Adjust sliding door.

3 Remove seal (3) of the side window (1). IMPORTANT Seal (3) is accessible from the vehicle interior.  
WARNING Risk of injury  from cutting wire tearing or becoming hot and from splinters of glass wher cutting out bonded windows Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. AS67.00-Z-0004-01A 
4 Cut out respective side window (1) with windshield removal tool.   AR67.00-D-0001-01TS 
    NOTES Carefully cut out side window (1). Lift adjacent component parts (e.g. roof lining) when cutting out.
Otherwise the adjacent components can be damaged.
IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools 
Windshield removal tool case
IMPORTANT Punch tubular probe for cutting wire through adhesive seam at an easily accessible point.
 
CLEAN Clean     
5 Remove remaining adhesive material from body flange. IMPORTANT Cut residual adhesive down to approx. 1 mm and remove loose adhesive material.  
6 Vacuum off any glass splinters and contamination. IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools 
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner
 
INSTALLING Install    
7 Apply primer to the primed surface on the body flange.
General notes about painting the body flange in the glazing area

    NOTES Do not apply primer on residual adhesive material.
Otherwise, the adhesive effect will be
 
    impaired.

8 Attach spacers (2) to the respective window cutout. IMPORTANT To prevent the side window (1) from lowering, attach 2 SPECIAL TOOL spacers (2) to the window cutout at the bottom. One SPECIAL TOOL spacer (2) on the side is sufficient for the correct lateral alignment.

9 Prepare adhesive cartridge. IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools 
Electric or pneumatic squeeze gun

10 Prepare respective side window (1) for installation.   AR67.30-D-0005-02TS 
    Repair kit for installing windshields, 1-component adhesive *BR00.45-Z-1180-02A 
11 Install seal (3) on the body flange.    
12 Glue in respective side window (1). IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools 
Electric or pneumatic squeeze gun
IMPORTANT Observe the gap dimensions "EC" and/or "IE".

13 Remove cup suction tools. IMPORTANT Observe curing time of adhesive material.  
14 Remove spacers (2). SPECIAL TOOL Spacer Fig 3
CLEAN Clean     
15 Clean side window (1).
