  Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. AS20.00-Z-0001-01A

REMOVING Remove     
1 Raise vehicle.   AR00.60-D-1000-04TS
Special instructions for lifting and supporting vehicle   AH00.60-N-0100-01TS
2 Remove bottom engine compartment paneling. Model 907 with code XM1 (Noise abatement measures) AR61.20-D-1105TS
3 Remove underbody paneling. Models 907, with code H12 (Hot-water auxiliary heater) with code XM1 (Noise abatement measures), Models 907 with code H13 (Rear additional heat exchanger) with code XM1 (Noise abatement measures), Models 907 with code HZ9 (Heater booster) with code XM1 (Noise abatement measures) AR61.30-D-1001TS
4 Remove cap of coolant expansion reservoir (1). IMPORTANT First, unscrew cap counterclockwise up to safety catch and release overpressure. Then unscrew the cap.  
INSPECT Check     
5 Check coolant level. If coolant level is insufficient:

Correct coolant level. FLUID SPECIFICATION Coolant

6 Attach tester cap (2) to coolant expansion reservoir (1). SPECIAL TOOL Test cap Fig 1
7 Attach pressure pump (3) to the tester cap (2). SPECIAL TOOL Pressure pump Fig 2
8 Apply test pressure to engine cooling system. NOTES
Do not exceed the specified test pressure. This prevents damage to the engine cooling system.

9 Check engine cooling system for coolant loss. IMPORTANT Perform visual check on the top and bottom of the engine compartment. Perform visual check in vehicle interior.
If coolant loss or pressure loss is present:

Perform suitable repair measures depending on vehicle equipment.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
10 Release test pressure in engine cooling system. IMPORTANT To do this, actuate pressure relief button on the SPECIAL TOOL pressure pump (3). SPECIAL TOOL Pressure pump Fig 2
11 Remove pressure pump (3) with tester cap (2) from coolant expansion reservoir (1). SPECIAL TOOL Pressure pump Fig 2

12 Check coolant level. If coolant loss or pressure loss occurred during testing procedure.
If coolant level is insufficient:

Correct coolant level.

15 Install underbody paneling.
