The adjustment is realized with the front door closed and fully raised rear side window; a helper is required.
Adjustment in x-direction and y-direction
- Attach tapes (2) flush with upper edge of rear side window (1) (arrows).
Apply adhesive tapes (2) at large Distance to one another if possible.
- Mark dimension "a" on tapes (2).
- Completely lower side window (1) and then move to upper end position.
- Close front door.
- Release screws (4) until rear side window (1) can be moved.
- Adjust rear side window (1) from outside with a cup suction tool in x-direction and y-direction.
Adjustment in x-direction:
Align rear side window (1) by means of the dimension "J1" with front side window (3).
Adjustment in y-direction:
Align rear side window (1) by means of dimension "a" with roof edge.
- Tighten bolts (4)
- Completely lower side window (1) and then move to upper end position.
- Open front door and close again.
- Check adjustment in x-direction and y-direction again.
In the case of complaints.
↓
repeat adjustment procedure.
Adjustment in Z direction
- Loosen nuts (5).
- Adjust inclination of rear side window by turning bolts with
socket wrench.
When adjusting the front bolt, adjust in same manner on rear bolt.
Otherwise increased seal wear can occur.
The transition of the rear side window to front side window must be flush over entire surface when driver's door or front passenger door is closed.
One complete turn of the bolt results in approx. 1 mm adjustment path in the z-direction.
- Screw in nuts (5) with
socket wrench.
- Screw nuts (5) tight.
- Completely lower side window and then move to upper end position.
- Open front door and close again.
- Check adjustment in z-direction again.
In the case of complaints.
↓
repeat adjustment procedure.
- Remove tapes and clean rear side window.
