	Remove/install
1	Remove driver's airbag from steering wheel.	Model 205 with code U88 (AMG steering wheel buttons (AMG DRIVE UNIT)) Model 213, 238 with code 266 (DISTRONIC PLUS with Cross-Traffic Assist (DTR+Q)) with code U88 (AMG steering wheel buttons (AMG DRIVE UNIT)) except code L5C (Supersport steering wheel - leather deep-embossed) Model 253 with code U88 (AMG steering wheel buttons (AMG DRIVE UNIT))	AR91.60-P-0660LW
		Model 257 with code 266 (DISTRONIC PLUS with Cross-Traffic Assist (DTR+Q)) with code U88 (AMG steering wheel buttons (AMG DRIVE UNIT)) except code L5C (Supersport steering wheel - leather deep-embossed)	AR91.60-P-0660FR
2	Remove screws (1).	Screw, mounting plate/contact plate to steering wheel	*BA46.10-P-1002-02J
3	Remove mounting plate (2) and release and disconnect electrical connector.	: Ensure correct engagement of electrical connector.
4	Remove washers of screws (1).	If washers are installed.
5	Unclip hand detection system control unit (N179) from steering wheel electronics (N135).
6	Release and disconnect electrical connectors on hand detection system control unit (N179), and remove hand detection system control unit (N179).	Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function. : Ensure that the electrical connectors are engaged correctly. : Ensure that routing of lines is correct.
7	Install in the reverse order.
8	Connect vehicle diagnosis system and perform commissioning.	When replacing hand detection system control unit (N179).
