- Expose spot welds on spring bracket (1) (areas A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, and K).
- Mill off spot welds (areas A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, and K).
- Remove damaged spring bracket (1).
- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas and around the holes.
- Remove shavings and milling chips.
