Adjust refractometer (5) from the checking and measuring case before every measurement.
- Carefully clean the prism (1) and the folding cover (2) using a soft, lint-free cloth.
Do not touch the surface of the prism (1) with your fingers.
Otherwise, this may lead to an error when adjusting.
- Apply 1 to 2 drops of distilled water to prism (1) and gently close hinged lid (2).
Only the prism (1) and the hinged lid (2) should come into contact with the fluid.
AdBlue® can find its way into the refractometer (5) otherwise and make it unusable.
Closing of the hinged lid (2) causes the water to be distributed evenly.
- Bring the scales of scale (B) for AdBlue® into focus by turning the eyepiece (4).
To do this, look through the eyepiece (4) against a light background when turning.
- Carefully adjust adjustment screw (3) using a screwdriver so that the light/dark border matches the zero line (water line).
- Carefully clean the prism (1) and the folding cover (2) using a soft, lint-free cloth.
