Cold Weather Applications
Whenever possible, it is recommended to apply windshields during cold weather in a controlled environment [in a shop].
- Remove snow, ice, dirt, etc. from all areas.
- Check glass for condensation and remove it.
- Check pinchweld for condensation and remove it prior to pinchweld preparation.
- Warm the primed areas with a heat gun, prior to primer application, to ensure 'flash off' at low temperatures.
NOTE:
Check for the temperature and humidity application capabilities of each urethane in cold temperatures. Use only the products recommended, and closely follow any cold weather procedures prescribed by the manufacturer.
