FUNCTION GROUP:	14.20 - Exhaust gas recirculation
REASON FOR CHANGE:	Remedy Update

COMPLAINT

The check engine light is activated, accompanied by the following fault code related to the Exhaust gas recirculation cooler (low pressure):

P300E55 The efficiency of component 'Exhaust gas recirculation cooler (low pressure)' is not sufficient.

CAUSE

The issue is attributed to an error in the coding of the climate control unit software (HVAC177).

REMEDY

A software update to correct the coding error is currently in the process of release for the Aftersales network.

In the interim, please proceed as follows:

Erase the fault memory (DTCs) from the control unit.
Return the vehicle to the customer.
No further diagnostic or repair procedures are required at this time.

Production Clean Points:

The following manufacturing plants have implemented the updated coding on the specified dates:

09/20/2024: VS30 - Plant W065, Dusseldorf

10/09/2024: VS30 - Plant W037, Ludwigsfelde & Plant W155, Buenos Aires

10/31/2024: VS30 - Plant W566, Charleston

This LI will be updated following approval and release of the corrective coding for After-sales use.

If the vehicle was produced after the plant clean point and has the fault code P300E55 with H12, please open a TIPS case and direct it to the Powertrain inbox, referencing this LI.
