Replace Fuel Injector Sealing Ring - Ar07.03-S-0004-01EG

The fuel injectors (Y62) must be installed immediately after calibration of the sealing rings (1).

Since sealing rings (1) swell under the influence of air humidity, they may otherwise be damaged during assembly.

Replace the sealing ring (1) on cylinder 1 injection nozzle (Y62/31) 

1. Remove sealing ring (1) completely.

   Do not use sharp-edged tools.

   The sealing surfaces can be damaged otherwise.

2. Clean base surface of sealing ring (1) on cylinder 1 fuel injector (Y62/31).
3. Push sealing ring (1) onto guide hood (03) and place this on the cylinder 1 fuel injector (Y62/31).
4. Slowly push sealing ring (1) with the fingers over the guide hood (03) onto the cylinder 1 fuel injector (Y62/31) in the sealing groove.
5. Place assembly sleeve (04) on the cylinder 1 fuel injector (Y62/31) and push with slight turning movements fully onto the cylinder 1 fuel injector (Y62/31).

   The side marked with "A" on the assembly sleeve (04) must point towards to cylinder 1 fuel injector (Y62/31).

6. Remove assembly sleeve (04) and guide hood (03).
7. Perform operation steps  1 to  6 in an analog manner for further fuel injectors (Y62).
