3	Remove nut (2) and remove positive line (1.1) from battery clamp (3).
4	Unfasten duct (1.2) from battery box (4).
5	Unfasten carrier plate (1.3) on wiring harness for starter and alternator (1) from catch hook (1.9).

7	Remove lower engine compartment lining.	Model 907 with code XM1 (Noise abatement measures)	AR61.20-D-1105TS

9	Expose positive line (1.1) and pull downward to remove from battery box (4).
10	Release and disconnect electrical connector (12).	Model 907 with engine 654 with code MJ8 (ECO start/stop function)
11	Release and disconnect electrical connector (8).
12	Remove clamp (5) for electrical wiring harness (6).
13	Remove cover (7).	Cover (7) is secured with 6 catch hooks (7.1).
14	Release and disconnect electrical connectors (9).	The number of electrical connectors (9) varies depending on the engine variant.
15	Release couplings of electrical connectors (9) and remove from carrier plate (1.3).	The number of electrical connectors (9) varies depending on the engine variant.
16.1	Release and fold up cover (10).	Model 907 with engine 642 with code MJ8 (ECO start/stop function)
16.2	Remove cover (10).	Model 907 with engine 654 with code MJ8 (ECO start/stop function) Cover (10) is secured with 4 catch hooks.
17	Remove nuts (11), expose electrical lines on carrier plate (1.3) and remove.	Observe assembly position for electrical lines.
18	Release wiring harness bracket (1.4) and remove from body.	The number of wiring harness brackets (1.4) varies depending on the engine variant.
19	Remove wiring harness duct (1.5) under the engine.	Model 907 with engine 642 with code MJ8 (ECO start/stop function) Wiring harness duct (1.5) is secured with 2 bolts.
20	Expose positive line (1.6) to alternator and remove from alternator.
21	Expose positive line (1.8) to starter and remove from starter.
22	Release and disconnect electrical connector (13) at glow output stage (14).	Model 907 with engine 654 with code MJ8 (ECO start/stop function)
23	Expose electric line to jump-start connection point (1.7) on engine.
24	Release jump-start connection point (1.7) on air filter housing and remove.
25	Remove wiring harness for starter and alternator (1) with the aid of an assistant.
	Install
26	Install and position wiring harness for starter and alternator (1) with the aid of an assistant.
27	Attach jump-start connection point (1.7) to air filter housing.
28	Fasten electric line from jump-start connection point (1.7) to engine in accordance with line routing.
29	Connect electrical connector (13) to glow output stage (14).
30	Attach positive line (1.8) to starter and fasten in accordance with line routing.	Engine 642Nut, electrical line to starter	*BA15.30-N-1003-01TS
31	Attach positive line (1.6) to alternator and fasten in accordance with line routing.	Engine 642Nut, electrical line to alternator	*BA15.40-N-1001-01TSV
32	Attach wiring harness duct (1.5) under the engine.	Model 907 with engine 642 with code MJ8 (ECO start/stop function) Wiring harness duct (1.5) is secured with 2 bolts.
33	Attach wiring harness bracket (1.4) to body.	The number of wiring harness brackets (1.4) varies depending on the engine variant.
34	Engage carrier plate (1.3) on wiring harness for starter and alternator (1) at catch hook (1.9) in battery box (4).
35	Position electric lines on carrier plate (1.3), fasten and attach nuts (11).	Observe assembly position for electrical lines. Nut, positive line to battery positive line connection on underbody	*BA54.18-N-1002-02TS
36.1	Fold up and lock cover (10).	Model 907 with engine 642 with code MJ8 (ECO start/stop function)
36.2	Install cover (10).	Make sure that cover (10) is engaged correctly.
37	Attach couplings of electrical connectors (9) to carrier plate (1.3) and lock.	The number of electrical connectors (9) varies depending on the engine variant.
38	Contact the electrical connectors (9).	The number of electrical connectors (9) varies depending on the engine variant.
39.1	Clean and apply preservation agent to connections on voltage dip limiter.	If wiring harness for starter and alternator (1) has not been replaced.	AR54.10-D-0014-01TS

41	Fasten electrical wiring harness (6) with clamp (5).

44	Guide positive line (1.1) into battery box (4) and fasten.
45	Install duct (1.2) on battery box (4).
46	Install underfloor paneling on left.

48	Position positive line (1.1) at battery clamp (3) and attach nut (2).	Nut, positive line to connection for battery clamp	*BA54.10-N-1005-01TS
