Model 907 with code ZG1 (Engageable all-wheel drive)

  Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning from swallowing hydraulic fluid. Depressurize hydraulic system completely before starting any work on it. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. AS00.00-Z-0013-01A

REMOVING Remove     
1 Raise vehicle.   AR00.60-D-1000-04TS
  Special instructions for lifting and supporting vehicle   AH00.60-N-0100-01TS
2 Remove lower engine compartment paneling. Model 907 with code XM1 (Noise abatement measures) AR61.20-D-1105TS
3 Remove return hose line (7) from steering gear (6). IMPORTANT To do so, unscrew bolt (9) from steering gear (6).
IMPORTANT Seal off connections of return hose line (7) and steering gear (6).
Collect escaping hydraulic fluid using absorbent rags.
 
    SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 2
4.1 Loosen spring bracket clamp (8) and slide toward rear along return hose line (7). If spring bracket clamp (8) is installed.

4.2 Loosen screw clamp (13) and slide toward rear along return hose line (7). If screw clamp (13) is installed.  
5 Remove return hose line (7) from cooler (5). IMPORTANT Seal off connections of return hose line (7) and cooler (5).
Collect escaping hydraulic fluid using absorbent rags.
 
    SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 2
6 Remove return hose line (7).    
CLEAN Clean     
7 Clean connection on cooler (5). IMPORTANT Use lint-free rags.  
    Assembly cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
8 Clean inside of low-pressure hose (1). If low-pressure hose (1) is to be reused.  
    Assembly cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
INSTALLING Install     
9 Dispose of spring bracket clamp (8) and replace with screw clamp (13). If spring bracket clamp (8) is installed.  
INSPECT Check     
10 Check screw clamp (13) for damage. If screw clamp (13) is installed. If damage exists,

Replace screw clamp (13).
 
11 Position return hose line (7) in installation position.    
12 Remove stop plugs and attach return hose line (7) to cooler (5). NOTES
Install return hose line (7) up to end position at connection of cooler (5) and align marking (arrow) with marking on connection of cooler (5). Leaks can occur otherwise.
 
    SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 2
13 Slide screw clamp (13) along return hose line (7) and secure. IMPORTANT Screw clamp (13) must be positioned, as shown, between vertical lines of marking (arrow) on return hose line (7).  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw clamp, low-pressure hose/return hose line to power steering system cooler If vertical lines or marking (arrow) on return hose line (7) are no longer visible, ↓
Position screw clamp (13) as per dimension (a).

14 Remove stop plugs and attach return hose line (7) to steering gear (6). IMPORTANT To do so, screw in screw (9).  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, lines to steering gear *BA46.20-N-1003-01TS

15 Install lower engine compartment paneling. Model 907 with code XM1 (Noise abatement measures) AR61.20-D-1105TS
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
16 Fill hydraulic power steering and bleed.   AR46.25-D-3300-02TSX 
    FLUID SPECIFICATION Steering gear oil *BF46.00-N-1001-01A
