Vehicles with remote trunk closing
The trunk lid/tailgate control unit (1) is located on the left in the trunk behind the trunk side trim.
Vehicles with EASY-PACK tailgate
The trunk lid/tailgate control unit (1) can be positioned at different locations in the vehicle depending on the vehicle model.
Function
The trunk lid/tailgate control unit (1) controls the movement of the trunk lid or tailgate.
The trunk lid/tailgate control unit (1) is connected to the network architecture of the vehicle.
To control the movement of the trunk lid or the tailgate, the trunk lid/tailgate control unit (1) processes the following information:
- Opening/closing requests of trunk lid or tailgate
- Terminal status of terminal 15
- Vehicle speed
- Opening angle limiter status
During the movement of the trunk lid or tailgate, the trunk lid/tailgate control unit (1) actuates the trunk lid/tailgate control electric motor. The trunk lid/liftgate control warning buzzer is also actuated in vehicles with EASY-PACK liftgate or with remote trunk closing and HANDS-FREE ACCESS. The trunk lid/tailgate control unit (1) derives the movement and/or the position of the trunk lid or the tailgate from the signals of the trunk lid/tailgate control Hall sensor.
