Example 2: Typical Weekend Situation

A 5-amp total parasitic load comprising:

A 5-amp parasitic load, multiplied by 60 hours, equates to a 300 A•h discharge. Atypical three battery system has 250 A•h. After 60 hours of discharge, the battery system will be completely discharged and at a zero percent state of charge.

The harmful effects associated with parasitic loads are even more pronounced when ambient temperatures drop below 32°F. (See Fig 1
