Removal And Installation - Module: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the glove box. Refer to GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the three retaining clips for the hush panel and remove from vehicle.
  4. Disconnect the wire harness connectors from the amplifier.

    NOTE:

    Once the glove box and hush panel are remove, this is an access hole (1) for the top amplifier bolt.

  5. Position the floor lighting aside for access to lower fastener then remove the amplifier bracket to instrument panel carrier frame bolts (2).
  6. If having trouble removing bracket and amplifier (1), remove the four fasteners that secure the amplifier (1) to bracket and remove separately.
