ECALL Speaker: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the left front lower instrument panel closeout panel (1).

  3. Remove the two screws (2) from the Emergency Assistance Module (EAM) speaker (3) that secure the speaker to the mounting bracket (1).
  4. Pull the EAM speaker (3) away from the bracket (1) far enough to disconnect the instrument panel wiring harness connectors from the speaker.
  5. Disconnect the instrument panel wiring harness connector from the EAM speaker.
  6. Remove the EAM speaker from the vehicle.
