Gearwheel drive

The intermediate gears (2) each comprise two gearwheels (4, 5) pre-tensioned against each other.

Removal 

1. Remove respective screw (1).
2. Pry intermediate gear (2) off the crankcase.

   For this purpose use suitable tool.

   Installation 

3. Slide intermediate gear (2) into the bore (3).

   Until the gearwheel (5) makes contact with the crankshaft gear.

4. Install intermediate gear (2).

   To do this, tension gearwheel (5) counterclockwise with a suitable tool (6) so that the gearwheels (4, 5) are flush (arrow).

5. Tighten bolt (1)
