Remove/Install Ball Head - Ar46.40-D-7242TS

Shown on model 907, left side of vehicle 

	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Remove/install
1	Remove each front wheel.		AR40.10-D-1100TS
2	Unscrew nut (2) from ball head (1).
	Notes on threaded connections fastened using a tightening angle-based tightening process		AH00.00-P-0020-01A
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts	Replace nut (2).	AH00.00-N-0001-01A
		Nut, ball head to steering knuckle	*BA46.40-N-1003-06TS
3	Unscrew counternut (3).	To do so, counterhold ball head (1). Only tighten the jam nut (3) after checking and adjusting the toe.
		Counternut, tie rod to ball head	*BA46.40-N-1001-06TS
4	Pry ball head (1) off steering knuckle.	Clean centering cone and contact surfaces of steering knuckle.

5	Unscrew ball head (1) from tie rod (4).	To do so, counterhold tie rod (4) at hexagon. Check ball head seal bellows (1) ball head (1) and tie rod (4) for signs of wear and damage. If corresponding findings are present, ↓ Replace ball head (1) or tie rod (4).

6	Install in the reverse order
7	Perform chassis alignment.		AR40.20-D-0200TS
