RP 1210 Compliance Defined: Notes

This section defines what it means to be an RP 1210-compliant VDA and what it means to have an RP 1210-compliant software application. In general any RP 1210-compliant application should work with any RP 1210-compliant VDA for their commonly supported operating systems and protocols. Accordingly:

• An RP 1210-compliant VDA means an application developer will not have to write "work around" code to deal with the eccentricity of specific VDAs.
• An RP 1210 compliant application means a VDA vendor does not have to know what application is attached and deal with the eccentricity of a specific application.
