Remove residual adhesive material from side window.
When reusing side window.

A maximum of 1 mm of adhesive residue may be left. Pull off loose adhesive material (remaining pieces which are not completely cut off).

Prevents leakage.
Clean side window using commercially available glass cleaner.
Bonding area on side window must be fully dry and free from dust and grease.

Prevents paint adhesion problems when installing window.
Check side window for damage.
If side window is damaged

Replace side window.
Clean bonding area on side window with cleaner and cleaning cloth contained in repair kit and wipe dry with dry cloth.
When replacing side window.
Apply primer with slight pressure, in one go and with sufficient coat thickness in bonding area on side window.
When replacing side window.

Do not brush on primer and do not apply excessive coat thickness. Observe flash-off time (at least 10 min).

Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
