Remove/Install Right Fuel Pressure And Temperature Sensor - AR07.04-P-0202MNM

DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by fuel spraying out at high pressure Keep all ignition sources out of hazard area. Do not carry out any work on system when it is pressurized. AS07.16-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel. No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel. AS47.00-Z-0001-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove bracket for engine management control unit (MCM)   AR07.08-P-7016MNM 
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.  
2 Remove coolant expansion reservoir for low-temperature circuit upwards out of the elastomer bearings and place with attached lines to one side   AR09.41-P-0001MNM
3 Relieve fuel pressure over diagnostic socket   AR07.03-P-1460-01MNL 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Dust protection cap to service connection *BA07.03-P-1005-01H 
    SPECIAL TOOL Pressure hose Fig 3
4 Release and disconnect electrical connector on right fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/1)    
5 Thoroughly clean rail in area of right fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/1) NOTES
Absolute cleanliness is essential when working on the high-pressure fuel circuit. Only lint-free cleaning cloths may be used. Damage will occur otherwise on the high-pressure fuel circuit.
 
    Assembly cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
6 Cover connecting point of right fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/1) with suitable rag and carefully and slightly loosen right fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/1) NOTES
No fuel should flow over the engine. Damage will occur otherwise.
 
    IMPORTANT Wear oil-resistant, fiber-free gloves lined with rubber.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Pressure transducer to fuel distributor *BA07.52-P-1002-01J 
    SPECIAL TOOL Box wrench attachment, 27_mm Fig 2
7 Remove right fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/1) INSTALLATION NOTES : Use new right fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/1), since the right fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/1) is only designed to be screwed in once. Leaks can occur otherwise.  
    IMPORTANT Collect exuded fuel using a suitable absorbent rag.  
    SPECIAL TOOL Box wrench attachment, 27_mm Fig 2
8 Install in the reverse order    
9 Read out and erase fault memory    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
10 Inspect fuel system for leaks    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
      AR07.03-P-1010-04MM 
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
11 Perform an engine test run and check engine for proper operation and leaktightness    
12 Install upper engine cover
