Remove/Install Oil Level Check Switch - AR18.40-P-5113LFA

DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove engine compartment paneling   AR61.20-P-1105LF
2 Disconnect outer electrical connection on oil level check switch (S43)    
3 Remove oil pan bottom section   AR01.45-P-7500LFA
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace seal for oil pan bottom section.  
4 Unclip electrical line for switch oil level check (S43) at retaining clip (5)    
5 Remove screw/bolts for female contact (6) and introduce female contact (6) into oil pan (4) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace O-ring for female contact (6).  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, oil level switch connector to oil pan top section *BA18.40-P-1003-02C 
6 Remove screw/bolts (3) and remove oil level check switch (S43) from bracket TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, oil level switch to bracket *BA18.40-P-1001-02C 
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Check engine oil level and correct if necessary    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP18.00-P-1848U 
9 Read out fault memory using the diagnostic system and clear if necessary    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
10 Carry out engine test run, while doing so check the engine and transmission for leaktightness and proper function
