COMPLAINT

Keyless-Go control unit fault codes

Engine may not start

Vehicle may not recognize key

CAUSE

Water traces (drips) on Keyless-Go control unit.

REMEDY

Dismantle right rear interior trim in the trunk area (see photo attached). Check if there are any traces of water on the Keyless-Go control unit.

IMPORTANT: Do not dismantle any more components.

If there are traces of water found, please also note if the rear window glass is tinted. If excessive water is used during the tinting process, it can leak down the rear hat shelf area and onto the KG control unit connector, causing corrosion. In this case the repair cannot be covered under warranty. The KG control unit and damaged connector components must be replaced, see parts list.

If no traces of water are found, please proceed with diagnostics of the KG system.

NOTE: Pin 27 is a low profile line (0.13mm² ):
